In the 1970s, the Lubrano Family owned and operated Poppa Tony's in Cedar Grove, a beloved pizzeria known for its delicious pizza, tomato Alfredo soup, and refreshing lemon ice. They even won "Best Pizza" in New Jersey by the Star Ledger's Munch-mobile. Sadly, in 2001, a fire forced Poppa Tony's to close after 30 years of service.
In the following year, John, the youngest son, opened Cedar Grove Deli, which has proudly served the community for over 20 years with a diverse breakfast and lunch menu. We've kept Poppa Tony's favorites like the tomato Alfredo soup and Poppa Tony Sub alive while continuing to innovate.
